Google started their revised Panda Algorithm change, called Panda 4.0 update , it is designed to punch low-quality content. Panda 4.0 is seemingly a major update to the actual algorithm versus just a data refresh. Meaning, Google has made changes to how Panda identifies sites and has released a new version of the algorithm today.
According to industry pundits Ebay may be a big loser for this round. Other affected site are PR websites like PRWeb.com, PR Newswire, BusinessWire and PRLog, all seem to have lost significant rankings in Google.
Once again the site owners ask the question “what should one do if they think they might be affected by Panda?”
Answer still remains the same – only bring high quality content on to you website, and ensure that the content already on your site conforms to that standard. Low-quality content on some parts of a website can impact the whole site’s rankings, and thus removing low quality pages will also improve your site’s performance.
