Over 150 events over 5 days — categorized into ‘Tracks’
The Idea Track brings education on how to validate your idea and the basics for getting it off the ground. Every startup begins as an idea, but not every idea ends up as a startup. What is it that makes one idea go the distance while others fall by the wayside? What separates a great idea from the merely good ones? And just how do you get from idea to startup?
Whether you are someone armed with an idea looking for your next move or just merely curious about the startup world, someone who’s finding your footing as a first-time startup founder/CEO or looking to join a startup team, the Idea Track is where you go to get your questions answered.
The Seed Track will bring events helping with achieving product-market fit, solidifying your business model, refining your MVP to potentially groom for a seed round. The Seed Stage Track at San Diego Startup Week 2017 will focus primarily on taking your startup, core team, and product to the next level. This is where you’ll learn to define, as well as refine, an MVP, engage with initial and early adopters, begin building traction, and start grooming your company for the seed round financing.
The Seed Stage Track will help identify the value of an idea by exposing early stage startup founders to speakers and panel discussions with entrepreneurs who have successfully moved out of the seed stage. The experience will be interactive and rewarding for everybody from startup veterans to newcomers to the industry.
The Scale Track is for startups ready to grow fast. Events cover raising large rounds, biz dev, scaling operations and customer support, to know when to exit. Once you’ve developed a solid product, have some traction, and secured customers, what’s the next move? The Scale Track was built to specifically examine this question and train a laser focus on building to the next level of growth. This includes marketing, sales, building teams, raising capital, and scaling operations – and more.
The Scale Track will also cater to founders, marketing specialists, salespeople, and operational teams who are running, or are part of, companies just beginning to grow. However, as long as attendees have a vested interest in scaling an idea, company, or product, the Scale Track won’t turn them aside. Expect to learn a wide range of growth tactics and strategies from entrepreneurs who have legitimately scaled businesses in the past.
